I had a short burnout session trying to enter the big leagues via multi-table, multi-satellite tournaments. My gawd what a grueling session. I’d much rather slowly build my bankroll and buy in at my playing level or marginally higher. As you can see, I won a $250 tournament ticket which was another satellite to win a ticket to the next level. I just didn’t have the stamina to go on playing for a ticket to a higher level. Another four to eight hours to win a ticket. Never again.
Did you know that Hippopotamuses cause an estimated 500 deaths annually? This is because they are very aggressive and territorial, and habitually charge at boats to capsize them.
After my short burnout session and following recovery, I finally returned to play a $2.50 tournament. I was knocked out early in the Mini Big Game and I decided to re-buy. I had to. I made the big mistake of not betting my set strong enough and letting v make a straight on the river. I knew better and was determined to make things right. This wasn’t a “chasing losses” thing, $2.50 wouldn’t break me. It was an ego thing.
I realize I haven’t been playing very long and that there are a lot of variables involved in cashing in a tournament but I knew that I could do better. I knew better and just had to apply that knowledge more effectively. So, I decided to take another kick at the can.
As you can see, even intention is a factor in winning and I was glad today proved that point.
FYI a semi-bluff with AKS did me in, but still a decent finish.
